Interpretive Summary: White tarsonemid mites include around 43 known genera, some are associated to agricultural and forestal ecosystems. Some of them carried fungi and bacteria on the body. This paper described a new species from Brazil. This study will be important to plant protection officers, ecologists, entomologists, biologists and Agriculture scientists.

Technical Abstract: Description of a new species of Excelsotarsonemus from Brazil. A key to the species known and information on their ecology are included.
