Interpretive Summary: Neospora caninum was identified in histologic sections of small and large intestine and mesenteric lymph nodes of a 10-year-old Appaloosa mare that had a history of chronic weight loss. The diagnosis was confirmed by immunohistochemical staining with antibodies specific for N. caninum.
