The Games for Health Journal: Research, Development, and Clinical Applications. 2(6):315-316. Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: A limitation of current research on games for health is a lack of innovative thinking in considering the problem to be solved. The articles in the December 2013 issue of the Games for Health Journal exhibited substantial innovation from requiring physical activity from some game players to permit their co-players to receive nutrition education, to use of popular entertainment video games to minimize depression, among other subjects. Such out-of-the-box thinking is needed to meaningfully address the targeted health problems. |
