Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Fusarium, particularly race 4, has become a significant management issue in the San Joaquin Valley cotton production area of California. Recommendations for limiting spread of inoculum of this fungal disease have been modified somewhat over the approximately 10 years of experience with this disease, and the current University of CA recommendations will be reviewed in this poster. Field evaluations and methods to assess presence of race 4 Fusarium, crop management approaches to reducing additional inoculum production, and recommendations for identifying more resistant varieties will be discussed.
