Interpretive Summary: Land managers often fail to recognize that when invasive species begin to establish, the weeds themselves are not the actual cause of the problem but a symptom of ecological processes not functioning properly on the landscape. These ecological processes in disrepair are what drive a plant community to change and is the basis of the ecologically-based invasive plant management (EBIPM) step by step decision framework. This DVD has been prepared to provide land managers and students an introductory ‘how to’ for applying EBIPM to develop more effective management plans for invasive plants and specifically, annual grasses. The DVD takes viewers through each of the five steps of the EBIPM model.
