Interpretive Summary: Methods are required that can rapidly and accurately distinguish invasive Spodoptera from related domestic species with similar morphology. DNA barcoding has been proposed as a molecular means of identifying invasive organisms. To facilitate development of this technology, haplotypes for Spodoptera species of agricultural concern were identified and the DNA sequences submitted to the GenBank database (National Center for Biotechnology Information). These were given the GenBank Acession numbers from HM756074 to HM756093.
