Interpretive Summary: One chapter (Chapter IV. Sperm Motility and Metabolism) describes a simple method of evaluating sperm motility and the other two chapters (Chapter VII. Predicting Fertility) describe procedures that allow the investigator to differentiate between an unfertilized, early dead, and fertilized ovum immediately after it is laid and a means to predict the duration of fertility of a hen after insemination or natural mating.
