This article will be published in Journal of the American Mosquito Association. The subgenus includes Mu. aurantius aurantius, Mu. aurantius chrysogaster, Mu. painei, and Mu. quadripunctis. A “previous usage” section is provided for tracking the published generic-level history of the 14 species and one subspecies currently included in Mucidus. |
