Interpretive Summary: Environmental changes, including global increases in atmospheric CO2 concentration and possible global warming as well as more regional and local changes in ozone and soil salinization, are likely to affect the future productivity of agriculture. This paper reviews a recent book on the topic entitled "Crops and Environmental Change: An Introduction to Effects of Global Warming, Increasing Atmospheric CO2 and O3 Concentrations, and Soil Salinization on Crop Physiology and Yield" by Seth G. Pritchard and Jeffrey S. Amthor. They discuss the likely effects of all four of these changing environmental factors on several processes involved in the physiology, growth, and yield of agricultural crops. This research should help everyone on Earth, but especially agricultural resource planners and environmental policymakers, to mitigate and to adapt to environmental changes.
