Covariates for problems in precision agriculture. 16th Applied Statistics In Agriculture Conference Abstracts. p. 15. Interpretive Summary: Technical Abstract: The analysis of yield results from experiments in precision agriculture often utilize just methods for spatially and/or temporally correlated data. A completely general form for a spatial model can and should include suitable covariates. Should not suitable covariates be considered first? Through the presentation of one or more examples, this approach is argued. While some recent works have considered factors or principle components constructed from multivariate ancillary data, one can ask is this the best approach? Some suggestions for constructing suitable covariates will follow. |
