Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: This technique, using direct-current resistance, allows the accurate determination of moisture content in native and thermoplastic starch. It uses available technology and conforms to established industry standards. It can be used to measure the moisture content of homogeneous powders, pellets and films. The accuracy of the method is within acceptable variance for water-sensitive materials containing 1-20% moisture content.
