Technical Abstract: Rice grain quality has been reported to be negatively affected by high night temperatures. An experiment was conducted to determine the effect night temperature had on the milling quality of rice. High night temperature decreased head rice yield which is the main component of rice milling quality. The study will allow farmers and millers to select rice that would have improved milling quality.
