Potential use of the oils as base fluids for hydraulic fluid formulations is considered. Tests were conducted using a multi-purpose wear tester and the Penn State Micro-oxidation Test. Selected blending was used to obtain desired viscosities and low temperature properties. Results obtained with and without selected additives are described and compared to commercial hydraulic fluids. |
