Interpretive Summary: Little is known about the cavity nesting bees of Sri Lanka. This paper describes two new species which nest in artificial nesting material and therefore could potentially be manageable pollinators. The species are described so that colleagues at the Smithsonian Institution can describe the nesting biology.

Technical Abstract: Two new trap-nesting species of Anthidiellum (Pycnanthidium), A. butarsis and A. krombeini, are described from Sri Lanka. Comparisons are made with other known Oriental species of the subgenus.
