Interpretive Summary: Dr. Randall T. Schuh of the American Museum of Natural History (New York, NY) is a world renowned specialist of true bugs in the plant bug family Miridae. In May of 2013, Dr. Schuh will turn 70 years old. In honor of his career-long accomplishments, a special collection of scientific articles by colleagues from around the world were compiled into a single volume. As part of this volume, an introductory paper highlighting his most outstanding work and providing a list of his nearly 100 publications was prepared. As one of the top two or three most influential heteropterists in the world today, this paper recognizing Dr. Schuh’s outstanding work will be of great interest to all researchers involved with true bugs.
