Objective:
Cooperator will prepare a petition for approval of nitrogen dioxide for use in organic agriculture as a seed treatment.
Approach:
The cooperator will draft the initial petition, conduct research to provide a list of necessary information and documents to the USDA, obtain feedback on the draft petition from former National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) members and other industry stakeholders as appropriate, and finalize petition. The cooperator will assist the USDA PD with the preparation of both written and oral comments to the NOSB. They will develop key talking points and FAQs and monitor petition progress throughout NOSB review process.
