Objective:
To expand the capacity of USDA’s FoodData Central (FDC) for the inclusion of Canadian food products (thousands) from the data pipeline of the USDA Global Branded Food Products database (USDA Global BFPD), which currently includes GS1 Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) via 1WorldSync and NielsenIQ Label Insight.

Approach:
The Agency will work to build FDC’s infrastructure to publicly provide Canadian food products while collaborating with Health Canada on data requirements and documentation needs.
