Objective:
The objective of this research is to help ensure widespread adoption of highly productive and Fusarium Head Blight (FHB) resistant Hard Red Spring Wheat varieties in South Dakota and the region.
Approach:
Procedures used to meet the objective include established Fusarium head blight screening methods to document resistance levels within segregating populations, experimental breeding lines, and released varieties. Data accumulated will be used for selection within and among pre-released materials while data gathered on released varieties will be shared with stakeholders.
