Objective:
Determine if the current Cattle Standards/Guidelines meet the current cattle population.

Approach:
• Collaboration among the 3 Centers to carry out the mission of the project. o Each Center will be the lead on different projects: • Analyze data from previous projects to establish a baseline. • While each cooperator will be the lead on a specific class, they will also engage the other centers in the planning, development and coordination of each class. • Partner with cattle producers, feeders & buyers; leverage resources and contacts of the various industry groups. • Perform survey to determine perceptions and application of current Cattle Standards/Guidelines. • Use data to develop training modules and revise visual standards. • Collect live animal & carcass data (partner with cattle producers & packers; leverage resources and contacts of the NBQA).
