Location: Subtropical Insects and Horticulture Research

Project Number: 6034-21000-018-028-T
Project Type: Trust Fund Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: May 1, 2021
End Date: Jun 30, 2022

Objective:
Identify added light and temperature treatments which optimize budbreak and growth of plants budded during November to January in the citrus nursery.

Approach:
Evaluate budbreak and growth effects from extended daylength and night interruption by supplemental lighting in the winter citrus nursery. Evaluate budbreak and growth effects from light and temperature preconditioning in the winter citrus nursery. Evaluate budbreak and growth effects from spectral quality and intensity in the winter citrus nursery.
