Objective:
Develop a strategy to consider the social implications of ecosystem services, to help NRCS improve and value conservation according to both environmental and socioeconomic criteria. Identify knowledge gaps and potential tools.

Approach:
In collaboration with ARS scientists, the cooperator will analyze and publish data from a survey aimed at evaluating North Dakota landowner perceptions of ecosystem services from their grasslands and apply findings to current NRCS-CEAP ecosystem service valuation efforts.
