Objective:
This proposal seeks to characterize the response to the two weevil species through evaluation of the Tepary Diversity Panel (TDP; primarily composed of the tepary bean NPGS collection) using a standardized phenotypic screening method, and through GWAS analysis of the bruchid response.

Approach:
A. Characterize wild and cultivated P. acutifolius response to common bean weevil. B. Characterize wild and cultivated P. acutifolius response to the Mexican bean weevil (Zabrotes subfasciatus). C. GWAS analysis.
