Objective:
The objective of this research is to characterize air and contaminant ingress through ventilation systems and building components in commercial poultry houses.
Approach:
Air infiltration and dust ingress in commercial poultry houses and through poultry equipment components will be measured using pitot-pressure flow stations and total suspended particles (TSP) sampler heads. This data will be used to determine risk factors for particular building design and construction methods.
