Research Project: Enhancement of RUSLE2 Erosion Technology

Location: Watershed Physical Processes Research

Project Number: 6060-13000-029-004-S
Project Type: Non-Assistance Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Sep 15, 2017
End Date: Sep 14, 2022

Objective:
a) Develop RUSLE2 science subroutines to enable computations independent of the RUSLE2 calculation engine. b) Utilize remote sensed data to evaluate erosion science processes.

Approach:
ARS and Middle Tennessee State University will work to reform RUSLE2 science subroutines to enable computations independent of the RUSLE2 calculation engine. The erosion processes approach of RUSLE2 will be improved by utilizing state-of-the-art experimental research studies, including remote sensed data, to evaluate management practices.
