Objective:
Cooperator will develop and test commercial genotyping assays for goat PRNP gene substitutions S146 and K222. Cooperator will develop and test commercial genotyping assay for sheep ZNF389 insertion-deletion important in Rambouillet sheep.

Approach:
Cooperator will design commercial genotyping assays. ARS will provide genotype-known DNA samples to use in verifying the commercial genotyping assays. Cooperator will then use these DNAs to test and verify commercial genotyping assays.
