Research Project: The Role of Nutrient Limitation and Precipitation Variability in the Suppression of Biodiversity by Exotic Invasive Plants

Location: Grassland Soil and Water Research Laboratory

Project Number: 3098-11000-001-059-N
Project Type: Non-Funded Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Jun 1, 2017
End Date: May 31, 2022

Objective:
Identify effects of soil nutrient pools, biogeochemical cycling, precipitation variability, and native and exotic plant species on grassland ecosystem productivity and biodiversity.

Approach:
Analyze datasets on nutrient limitation of plant productivity and biodiversity from a global network of sites conducting a coordinated nutrient manipulation experiment.
