Objective:
Quality Assurance Services: To monitor all IR-4 Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
studies conducted at USDA-ARS research laboratory in Wapato, Washington.
Approach:
The members of the IR-4 Quality Assurance Unit located at the UC-Davis IR-4 Regional Office will periodically send qualified GLP auditors to the USDA-ARS analytical testing laboratory in Wapato, Washington to conduct inspections of study procedures, facility equipment and personnel. They will also audit data and reports generated. The Wapato location, which develops data cooperatively with IR-4, does not have Quality Assurance expertise and these are needed to ensure the data developed by USDA-ARS will meet the Federal Good Laboratory Practice Standards regulations (40 CFR Part 160).
