End Date: Sep 30, 2026
Objective:
The Biomanufacturing Symposium will be co-sponsored by the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) and Kansas State University. This symposium will serve as a science-driven, open forum to learn, exchange, and explore new ideas, technologies, and strategies for next-generation biomanufacturing and beyond. Its goal is to help mitigate high-priority transboundary animal diseases in support of the stand-up of the NBAF Biologics Development Module (BDM).
Approach:
Interacting with industry leaders, biomanufacturing executives and academic experts who are dedicated to exploring cutting-edge sciences, emerging technologies provide opportunities to adapt best practices in the current and future biomanufacturing of veterinary biopharmaceutical products. Integrating innovative new technology such as computer modeling and artificial intelligence (AI) into the field of biomanufacturing will be a revolutionizing approach not only to accelerate drug discovery but also to enhance operational efficiency. The symposium will discuss how AI is increasingly expanding its pivotal role in the area of biomanufacturing. Working flow optimization and realignment with existing workforce is one of the factors building and strengthening resilience to respond to the rapidly growing, changing global demand. Due to unforeseen circumstances, such as political conflict and public health emergence, many biomanufacturers face huge challenges in their supply chain, thus supply chain management plays a crucial role in maintaining sustainability.
