The project seeks to elucidate the relationship between diet and the gut microbiome and impact on health outcome. Multi-omic bioinformatic approach will be employed: 1. To analyze transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and metagenomics data using state-of -art bio-infromatics tools. 2. To integrate multi-omics data using AI-assisted tools to elucidate relationship and identify bio-markers for intake of food and beverage.
Animal (Rodent or porcine models) will be fed with experimental diets. At the end of feeding animals will be sacrafice and tissues, blood, fecal/cecal samples collected. Metabolomics, metagenomics, proteomics and transcriptomics will be analyzed in tissue and samples using currently available technologies. AI-assisted bioinformatic analysis will be performed to elucidate diet induced changes and identify biomarkers for intake and health efficacies end points such as inflammation or obesity related risks.
