Objective:
1. Maintain & test G1 foundation & advance breeder selections; 2. Provide diagnostics to berry stakeholders; 3. Distribute G1 foundation plants and advance breeder selections; 4. Apply therapies to eliminate target pathogens from infected genotypes; 5. Maintain CIP genotypes for diagnostic testing and release; and 6. Maintain large virus positive collection for diagnostics and research.

Approach:
To achieve project goals of this project, we will: maintain virus free tissue culture and G1 foundation plants; provide diagnostics to stakeholders; distribute clean G1 and advanced breeding genotypes; apply therapies to eliminate viruses; maintain and test material under control import permit; and maintain a virus positive culture collection. These activities will have an impact on stakeholders by: supporting their compliance with government regulations to import and maintain disease free material; producing and propagating virus indexed plants; and supporting the movement of germplasm and plant material between state and borders and internationally.
