Objective:
1. Survey for the Casuarina potential biological control agents
2. Maintain laboratory colonies of the potential Casuarina biological control agents
3. Test safety of the potential Casuarina biological control agents
Approach:
Survey for potential herbivores that feeding on the target weed in its native range. Colonize most promising herbivores that have the potential to be safe and effective agents in the US. Conduct quarantine host testing to determine safety of potential agents for biological control.
