Objective:
1) Obtain germplasm of Lupinus polyphyllus from Washington state. 2) Document populations of the species from which germplasm is collected.

Approach:
Germplasm of Lupinus polyphyllus will be collected from wild populations in Washington state. Germplasm will be collected in the form of seeds and will be documented with locality, latitude and longitude, elevation, plant description and growing environment. Herbarium voucher specimens will be made as appropriate. Seed will be sent to the appropriate site of the USDA National Plant Germplasm System. Herbarium specimens will be sent to the USDA National Arboretum. A detailed trip report, including information on all samples obtained, will be provided to ARS.
