Collaborative research will focus on the effect of feeding formulated diets containing various levels of alfalfa leaf meal protein concentrate (APC) to wild-type and genetically-improved rainbow trout.

Evaluate digestibility of a reference diet and formulated diets with varying levels of APC in control (un-improved) and genetically improved rainbow trout strains. Studies will include sequential assessment of digestibility in replicated tank-based studies. Digestibility data and samples for determination of digestibility will be collected and nutrient analyses will be performed on samples and diets.
