Objective:
The objective of this work is to develop novel Single Cell Protein (SCP) diets for honey bees as a vector for feed-based therapeutics that will improve resistance to viral and microbial pathogens as well as parasitic Varroa mites.
Approach:
Expanding on our efforts to improve honey bee health via breeding and genetics, we will develop feed-based gene therapies to improve resistance to viral and microbial pathogens as well as parasitic Varroa mites.
