Objective:
1. Discover soybean QTL genes and gene candidates regulating oil content: 2. Discover new beneficial alleles and soybean accessions using an in-silico genotyping pipeline 3: Develop a collection of functional/perfect DNA markers for molecular marker assistant selection

Approach:
A big-data driven trait QTL gene discovery platform and an in-silico genotyping pipeline developed by ARS will be applied to discover genes regulating oil content and develop a collection of functional markers to facilitate developing high-oil germplasm/cultivars through molecular breeding and genome editing approaches.
