Research Project: Evaluating the Water Quality Impacts of Stacking Conservation Practices

Location: Soil Drainage Research

Project Number: 5080-13210-002-038-A
Project Type: Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Nov 1, 2019
End Date: Dec 31, 2020

Objective:
Assess the water quality impact of implementing grassed furrow ditches on top of a two stage ditch.

Approach:
Regular water samples along with hydrology will be collected from all sources entering a two stage ditch as well as the inflow and outflow of the two stage ditch. The effects of the individual practices as well as the combination of practices will be parsed out in order to determine the effects of practice stacking.
