Objective:
The primary goal it to assess whether restoration, implemented through the Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) program, enhances essential wetland functions in participating lower Mississippi River Basin States with a specific emphasis on deliverables for NRCS practitioners to assist NRCS practitioners with future restoration planning.

Approach:
The effects of the WRP program on soil health measurements will be measured by assessing soil response to restoration activities, specifically presence of hydrologic indicators, carbon storage capacity and soil microbial activity to determine if sites meet legal wetland criteria definitions.
