Objective:
The US-Pakistan Wheat Productivity Enhancement Program (WPEP) aims to enhance and protect the productivity of wheat by supporting research that leads to the identification and adoption of new, high-yielding, disease resistant wheat varieties.

Approach:
ARS will partner with CIMMY, U.S. land-grant universities, and 11 Pakistani partner institutions at 17 locations across Pakistan to develop, test, and distribute to farmers, new high-yielding, rust resistant wheat varieties.
