Objective:
1) Assess the genetic relationship between lint percent and fiber quality in several genetic populations.
2) Develop cotton germplasm with a decreased negative relationship between lint percent and fiber quality.
Approach:
We will use a multi-disciplinary approach comprising of field evaluation, genetics and statistics.
