Objective:
1. Evaluation of carrots in warm, dry, or saline field conditions. 2. Intercrossing of climate-resilient carrots. 3. Field trailing of intercrosses and their derivatives.

Approach:
Collect and distribute carrot seed, grow carrots in abiotic stress conditions including saline, hot, and dry environments; intercross selected carrots; and develop molecular markers to track important genes.
