To analyze composition data based on the near infrared (NIR) analysis of soybean samples provided by USDA-National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) and Farmers Independent Research of Seed Technologies (FIRST) from the 2018 crop.
The goal of this project includes NIR analysis of up to 1,400 soybean samples provided by USDA-NASS and FIRST from their 2018 survey, and analysis of compositional results from this sample set. ARS will select a limited number of samples using NIR for follow-up analysis by wet chemistry.
