Objective:
The Cooperator is a recognized expert for his contributions to quantitative genetics and computational biology. For this specific project, the Cooperator will lead or aid in the statistical analyses of the DNA sequencing datasets.

Approach:
The Cooperator will help to integrate all the resulting datasets to identify chromatin loops that connect promoters with distal regulatory elements. In brief, the Cooperator will integrate chromatin loop annotations with ChIP seq data sets to identify loop anchors containing promoters as well as distal anchor regions that may exert some regulatory influence. The Cooperator will also aid in the analyses in determining if causative mutations improve the accuracy of genomic selection predictions involving 200 commercial layer sires.
