Objective:
Document acreage of resistant varieties grown in South Dakota, screen for FHB resistance, and develop new breeding strategies to release FHB resistant hard red spring wheat varieties.

Approach:
Conduct a variety survey and field days to determine common varieties grown, screen for FHB in an inoculated nursery, and use current technology to advance breeding strategies.
