Objective:
The objective of the project is to develop a site specific fumigant application strategy for management of soilborne pests of strawberry that will apply only the amount of fumigant necessary to control the pests that are present.

Approach:
Remote sensing will be used to identify areas of a field that may be having problems with soilborne diseases with a follow up by field scouting to determine the cause of reduced plant growth/productivity. Soil sampling will be used to quantify the amount of soilborne pathogens present and rates of fumigant application will vary based upon the pathogen risk factor.
