Objective:
Cooperator will develop and test commercial genotyping tests for goat PRNP gene including those with the S146 and K222 substitutions.

Approach:
Cooperator will design commercial genotyping assays. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) will provide genotype-known DNA samples to use in verifying the commercial genotyping assays. Cooperator will then use these DNAs to test and verify commercial genotyping assays.
