1. Evaluate the effects of available organic nutrient sources/forms and rates on blueberry plant growth and development, yields, fresh berry quality, application efficacy, and soil chemistry within the unique production region of eastern Washington. 2. Disseminate project information, as well as survey and evaluate the success of project information transfer among blueberry growers in eastern Washington.

The experiment will be established in a mature field of organic-certified ‘Duke’ blueberries located in Prosser, Washington. The experimental design will be a split plot, with fertilizer source as the main plot and rate as the subplot, replicated four times. Selection of fertilizer sources and rates were made based upon feedback from eastern Washington growers in order to optimize the study design and ensure relevancy of the study for eastern Washington conditions. Four organic-approved sources/forms or combinations of fertilizers will be evaluated. Seven-plant plots will provide the experimental units, with data collected from the inner five plants per plot. Data will be reviewed and transformed as needed to meet the assumptions of analysis of variance (ANOVA).
