Research Project: Using Mesocosms to Study Nutrient and Pesticide Dynamics in Aquatic Systems

Location: Water Quality and Ecology Research

Project Number: 6060-13660-009-004-N
Project Type: Non-Funded Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Sep 30, 2017
End Date: Sep 29, 2022

Objective:
Cooperator and associated facilities will help identify and quantify environmental factors that drive processes related to retention or removal of agricultural contaminants.

Approach:
Cooperator will provide stream mesocosms, wetland mesocosms, and other scalable, controlled research locations in which to conduct studies on the impact of environmental factors driving contaminant retention in aquatic or semi-aquatic systems.
