Objective:
To assist ARS in the coordination with state seed certification agencies in order to obtain tuber samples from seed lots and to also distribute and store samples in labs conducting initial surveys.

Approach:
The Cooperator will support the project goals and objectives as identified in the IAA Executed Agreement and also specified in the Milestone Table and which includes work with the ARS PI and Colorado State University PI to analyze tuber samples for tuber necrotic viruses and toward the development and optimization of appropriate laboratory assays to test dormant tuber tissue for virus infection and will also work with University of Idaho PI on the pathogen infection models and sampling methods.
