Objective:
To assist ARS in the coordination with state seed certification agencies in order to obtain tuber samples from seed lots and to also distribute and store samples in labs conducting initial surveys.

Approach:
Samples will be received from cooperating organizations and will be distributed to labs. Cooperator will also perform diagnostic tests for PMTV from the soil and will compare methods of virus detection in tubers in order to optimize PMTV/TRV diagnostics. Additionally, ooperator will also contribute to the development and distribution of outreach materials for improved website content and grower meeting participation.
