Objective:
The objective of this cooperative agreement is to develop science, engineering, and technology-based outreach materials and technology transfer programs for K-12 students, teachers, and the general public in the southwestern U.S. and Mexico Border region based on ARS research.

Approach:
The Research Units based at the Las Cruces Location have worked closely with the Asombro Institute for Science Education since 1997 to develop science-based outreach materials and technology transfer programs. During the previous 5-year agreement the Asombro reached over 80,000 students, teachers, and adults in this region (over 16,000 people per year). This agreement will support implementation of new and existing cooperatively developed outreach and technology transfer programs.
